Manitoba Trophy Black Bear Hunts

One of North America’s Top Areas for Huge Black Bear

The province of Manitoba offers some of the finest black bear hunting in North America. Manitoba is considered one of the three top locations for big black bear and the area around Riding Mountain National Park has the highest density of black bears in North America. The genetics in the area produce big bodied bears with big skulls.

These all inclusive black bear hunts are conducted in an area adjacent to Riding Mountain National Park. Well established baits will maximize your chances to harvest one of the big bears this area is famous for. Both spring and fall hunts are available. Record book bears, weighing in excess of 500 pounds, are taken every year. If that alone wasn’t a good enough reason to hunt black bear here, you also have a 40% chance that the bear you harvest will be colored.

Hunters stay at a comfortable mobile home on a farm and can expect excellent home cooked meals. An experienced guide will take you to your stand in the early afternoon and return to pick you up at dark. If you have harvested your bear it will be taken back to the farm, where it will be skinned and the hide frozen for the trip home. Hunters have the option of contracting the services of an excellent local taxidermist noted for specializing in black bears mounts.

You have the option of using rifle, muzzleloader or archery equipment and hunters take bears that meet the entry requirements for Pope and Young, Longhunter and Boone & Crockett every year.
