Iosso Case Cleaner
Like most handloaders I started out years ago with a bare bones reloading set up. Case cleaning consisted of using a primer pocket cleaner, a neck brush and giving the cases a thorough wiping with a soft cloth. The next step up was going to a tumbler. This works well but pouring out the media and picking it out of the primer pocket and flash hole can be a bit tedious, not to mention listening to the drone of the tumbler for hours on end.
I had seen ads for Iosso Products before and was particularly interested in their liquid case cleaner. It appeared to be a simple and fast way to clean your cases prior to resizing. The cleaner is supposed to remove powder fouling residue, oxidation, tarnish, discoloration, dirt and grime.
I obtained an Iosso Case Cleaner kit, which includes a quart of Iosso Case Cleaner, a sealable plastic bucket and a net for immersing the rifle cases in the solution. After using this cleaning solution over the last number of months I wonder why I didn’t try it before. It is quick and does exactly what the claims it will do. You simply pour some solution in the bucket, put your cases in the net bag and immerse it in the solution for a couple of minutes, then remove the bag and rinse in water and let dry. It’s just that simple.
One quart of the cleaner will clean up to 1500 cases, depending on how dirty they are. My cleaning and resizing routine now starts with using the Iosso Case Cleaner, followed by the usual resizing routines and I then tumble the cases for a short period of time to remove the resizing lubricant and any metal filings from trimming and case mouth chamfering.
Give the Iosso Case Cleaner a try. It has greatly reduced my case preparation time and I am sure it is reducing the wear and tear on my dies as well. Contact:
