Blue Johns Thermal Underwear
The ultimate thermal undergarment for active people.
About 3 years ago I came across a Canadian company that manufactures the best cold weather thermal underwear I have ever used. Blue Johns are hand crafted from double-knit 100% chlorofibre material. This material provides rapid moisture transfer away from your skin and has a high insulation value, which keeps you extremely warm and dry in cold weather. In addition, the chlorofibre material has low body odor retention, smelling fresh as a daisy, even after being used for several days in a row.
I have tried a lot of different cold weather underwear in the past and have never been happy with most of it. Since trying my first set of Blue Johns I have completely switched over and they are all I use. These are lightweight and soft next to the skin, a superior undergarment in all respects.
In 2005 Blue Johns introduced their XTP line of undergarments, which stands for ‘Xtreme Thermal Performance’. The XTP line is double layered and designed for use in extreme cold. I have used a set now for over a year and they are incredibly, even on long cold November days on a deer stand and while trapping in the middle of winter during -30 and -40 temperatures.
Blue Johns come in a variety of sizes and styles, and they also have Dickies and Toques. To read more about Blue Johns and what they have to offer, check out their website or contact them at:
